Join us at Walking Faith Ministry's Internship program and take home the fire and tools necessary to reach people with the truth of the Gospel. Every semester, believers from various denominational backgrounds come together to serve with one purpose: to make the Gospel available to the needy children of Houston and to live it in the midst of them.  Interns bring home a wealth of information and experiences and become an integral part of what is done at Walking Faith Ministry each semester. Ministering to children who have few choices in life, and often fewer people in life who care about them, interns truly act as the Body of Christ, becoming the arms that reach out and embrace, the ears that listen, and the voice of hope for the children and families of Houston's inner-city. Interns become the vessels the Lord uses to offer these children a lifeline to hope and salvation.

What is it? Walking Faith Ministry's Internship Program is an intense, 18-week urban street ministry program that takes you inside one of the most exciting types of ministries in the world. This program will challenge you to reach a dynamic level of ministry you never knew existed as you work in the trenches, gaining hands-on training in the principles of Metro Ministries and how to operate a Sidewalk Sunday School.

Who is eligible? Anyone who is a born-again believer, with a heart to serve God and a passion to see His Kingdom advanced in the earth is welcome to apply.  Applicants must be at least 18 years of age or have graduated from High School.

What will I gain? Interns will experience a lifestyle that promotes personal growth and character building while strengthening your Christian walk. In-depth teaching on the study of God's work will equip you to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others. As you learn how to work and teach in an urban environment, you will gain the experience and wisdom to share the Gospel anywhere in the world. It produces results and changes lives; yours, and the people you are ministering to.

Where will I live? Walking Faith Ministry's Center has two adjacent housing facilities where single staff and interns live.  The houses are separated into male and female living areas.   Housing is provided at no cost to the interns.  Food is also provided, as well as transportation to and from all places the interns will need to be for the Internship program. Life at the Center is a team effort and as part of service to one another, interns are required to handle basic household chores such as sweeping and cleaning.

When can I come?  Each year, Walking Faith Minsitry operates two, 18-week Internship semesters.  The Spring semester runs from early January to the end of May. The Fall semester begins mid August and concludes just before Christmas.  During the Summer, WFM holds a concentrated five week mini-mester Internship for those interested in an intense, short term experience in the field of inner-city missions. The Summer Internship runs from July 1st-August 5th.

"We believe that every child has the right to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to see that Gospel demonstrated in the life of at least one, sincere, born-again believer."
