![]() It was a beautiful day at Villa Americana, one of our inner city sites we minister to; and it was time for the altar call. We welcomed the kids to come up for individual prayer and this little girl name Rheanna came up to me for prayer. She wanted prayer for her parents, she didn’t say what specifically for but I know what a lot of these kids go through so I had an idea on what to pray about. I prayed that God would help her parents learn how to love her more and for the love of Christ to enter into that household. When I finished praying for her, she looked up at me with astonishment. She said to me “How did you know?” I asked her “How did I know what?”. She replied “That my parents don’t love me….” It broke my heart to hear that, but it didn’t surprise me. A lot of these kids we minister to live in broken homes where sin is encouraged and love is not shown in action or deed from their parents. Some parents think that providing food and shelter is enough love to give, but Lord knows that it doesn’t end there. Right now as I write this there are kids that come to our C.A.T. services that are being beaten, cursed at, neglected, abandoned, molested, and crying out for love. These kids need us to intercede in prayer; to lift them up in prayer and also to pray for their parents.
It says in 1st Corinthians 13:8 “Love never fails, but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.” These kids live in an environment where they feel like love has failed them, that love is nonexistent. But we know that the love of Christ will never fail! It is available to them; they just need to call out to Him and hear His voice. So join me in prayer, lets pray this prayer in unity and in one accord; and continue to pray for the many kids that live in loveless homes. Dear God, Thank you for your never ceasing love. It is a love that you are willing to share with those who call out to you; who want to receive it freely; so I pray that the children who you minister to through us here at Walking Faith Ministries receive your love; that they are replenished by your love and made new by your love. Heavenly Father, let them know that no matter what kind of environment they live in, no matter the circumstances, your love for them is there. You are their Creator, their Father, and you want to rescue them from the bondage of a loveless home, so we pray for deliverance over those kids. We also pray for salvation for them and their family. We also pray for all the children around the world that live in torment. You love us Lord, you died for us and died to set us free. So we pray for a revival of love over them and their families. That your love will rain down on them and wash them clean. Thank you Lord for answering prayer, for interceding, for showing love when parents neglect them, for showing love when the world persecutes them. Jesus, you love all the children of the world, we pray that the veil is broken and they are able to see your love! Amen
